As always, disorganised, slow, confusing and could be so much better. No clear timeframe and it appears nothing happens unless you keep chasing. Next steps and clear timescales make life much easier. If I know I am waiting 4 hours that is fine, if I know. But it just doesn’t seem to happen.
Communication was extremely poor.
Feeling very unwell was also left stressed not knowing what was happening to me .
Very poor experience has left me feeling very apprehensive and frightened about coming to A&E again .
The staff were very busy but they alwsys had time to listen to you
Staff member in Majors B very rude and unhelpful. I was only there as a referral from my GP for a CT scan. I was given fluids via drip no one informed me if you moved your arm the drip stops working, I was therefore on the drip for hours longer than I needed to be!!! By 2100hrs they informed me that I wasn’t on the list for a scan. What a disgusting way to treat a patient!!!
Waited just under 12 hours to be admitted and only found out that was the plan after asking. I am an outpatient at the hospital (colitis) and although the initial triage was good the wait and infomation after wasn't.
Impossible to get timescales for anything.
Took 13.5 hours in total, including almost 3 hours just to have my Obs taken when I arrived.
All the staff were pleasant and helpful, but it's infuriating to not be able to move from your seat in case you are called in 5 minutes or 5 hours.
it was all good.
They are efficient , empathetic, supportive and professional - simply wonderful staff!
I was in the hospital for quite a few hours and had to travel to various departments and I was in alot of pain, walking was very difficult. However despite that every member of staff that i spoke to or was handled by was just so lovely. Genuinely lovely, kind compassionate people and for that I am forever grateful
Throughout my visit I was pleased with all the treatment I received and the friendliness and kindness of all the staff
